Chalcedony with Heulandite
$355.00
Chalcedony and Heulandite are two distinct minerals that are often found together in certain locations, particularly in India. Chalcedony is a microcrystalline variety of quartz that formed in gray. It has a waxy luster and is translucent or opaque. Heulandite is a member of the zeolite group of minerals and usually forms as tabular, often transparent or translucent crystals. Like Chalcedony, Heulandite is often found in volcanic environments, particularly in cavities or vesicles of basaltic rocks. It forms when volcanic rock reacts with water, trapping mineral-rich fluids inside.
Both minerals are commonly found together in the volcanic regions of Maharashtra, India, particularly in the Deccan Traps, which are world-famous for their zeolite deposits. The basalt flows in this region created pockets where these minerals could form together over time.
This combination is popular among mineral collectors due to the contrasting beauty of the two minerals when found together in a single specimen.
Many believe that having both minerals together enhances their individual healing properties. Chalcedony’s calming energy and Heulandite’s connection to higher consciousness make it a powerful tool for emotional and spiritual healing.
