Disco Ball Apophyllite

An exceptional specimen of green apophyllite elegantly associated with white stilbite and delicate sprays of mordenite. Distinguished by its uncommon crystal habit, this example belongs to the highly sought-after variety affectionately known among collectors as the "Disco Ball" apophyllite.

Unlike the more typical pointed apophyllite crystals, the crystals on this specimen exhibit sharply defined cubic terminations and remarkable symmetry, combining to create a striking spherical appearance. The result is a sculptural and visually captivating form that has made this habit particularly desirable among advanced collectors of Indian zeolites.

The luminous green apophyllite is beautifully complemented by the contrasting white stilbite matrix, while fine sprays of mordenite add texture and refinement to the overall composition. Further enhancing its appeal, the mordenite exhibits attractive fluorescence under ultraviolet light, providing an additional dimension of interest beyond the specimen's already impressive aesthetics.

Combining uncommon crystal morphology, exceptional contrast, and fluorescent properties, this specimen represents a superb example of one of the most distinctive and recognizable forms of apophyllite encountered in the mineral collecting community.
